Using assessment data to guide student support and interventions in Proliftic.
Educators can use assessment data to make informed decisions for students. Proliftic offers reports that help interpret results and guide planning, assisting leaders in determining:
What percentage of students reach grade-level benchmarks?
Which students need more support to meet these goals?
Percent by Performance Report
To see what percentage of students meet benchmark targets, check the Percent by Performance Report in any one-click report.
This report is generated from assessments included in the one-click report for which target scores have been established. Users are able to view the number and percentage of students by performance band. In Proliftic, the Percent by Performance graph reflects filters applied on the one-click reports page, allowing users to specify and examine any targeted group.
Our aim is for all students to reach benchmark targets, but progress towards this goal is also recognized. If 30-50% of a class falls short of the target, or the median score is below the benchmark, class-wide intervention is advised. These interventions usually involve more targeted practice with feedback to build essential skills.
Summary Statistics Report
Proliftic provides summary statistics for every completed assessment, enabling users to review score distributions across demographic groups. This report helps educators identify achievement gaps and patterns to inform improvement efforts.
After reviewing these reports to assess the percentage of students meeting benchmark learning goals, educators then identify students who may be at risk of not meeting these goals and who might need further intervention.
Histogram by Student Report
The Histogram by Student report can be used to review student groupings, assess performance from both a local normative and a criterion perspective, and communicate with families regarding how a student's results compare to expectations and peers.
Expanding a student score allows users to compare the result to established benchmarks, examine further assessment details, and review the student's assessment outcomes.
Next Steps
After reviewing assessment results, especially for students whose scores are below the targeted levels, educators can identify which students may require additional support and consider appropriate types of assistance. Once a decision is made to provide supplementary support, users may assign interventions or progress monitoring plans directly from any report page. All assessment data, intervention records, and monitoring graphs are maintained in the student profile to offer educators a full overview of each student's information for future planning.
